Psych Central, recently reviewed The Neurobiology of Attachment-Focused Therapy, by Jon Baylin and Dan Hughes.

Caroline Comeaux Lee’s article on the “Internet’s largest and oldest independent mental health online resource” provides a positive and helpful overview of the book.

I was pleased to read a very favorable book review by Caroline Comeau Lee for PsychCentral of The Neurobiology of Attachment-Focused Therapy (2016) that Jon Baylin and I wrote for W.W.Norton.

Ms. Lee notes in particular how A-R Dialogue and PACE – involving neurobiological processes of safe communication – enable abused and neglected children to move from defensiveness to engagement and begin to trust their therapist and caregivers.

Dan Hughes

Lee concludes, “Both informative and touching, the Neurobiology of Attachment-Focused Therapy is a magnificent addition to a therapist’s toolbox.”
