New DDP Community Reflections articles by Jon Baylin

19 October 2020

Two new personal articles have been added to DDP Community Reflections, both authored by Dr. Jon Baylin.

In ‘Empathy Deficit Disorder: The Lack of a Moral Compass‘, Jon explores the neurobiology of empathy, how empathy deficit disorder (EDD) can come about and the effect this has on the person and those around them.

The Fork in the Road‘ looks at cost to our societies of simple messaging that dehumanises those we perceive to be different, and how this lack of empathy is damaging us as a species, and our planet.

Jon co-authored the books Brain Based Parenting and The Neurobiology of Attachment-Focused Therapy with Dr. Dan Hughes, and is a Clinical Psychologist specialising in neurobiology with over 35 years experience.

The DDP Community Reflections section of the DDP Resource Library is a place for the varied voices of our DDP Community to explore themes around DDP and their professional working lives.
