A new addition to the Riley the Brave series by Jessica Sinarski is now available to pre-order.
‘Riley the Brave’s Big Feelings Activity Book’ is the forth is the series, and primarily aimed at adults who live or work with children who have experienced trauma in their early relationships. It includes games, printables, exercises, action and lesson plans all developed to help educators, parents and therapists support children experiencing “big feelings”.
It also includes a lovely introduction to PACE (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy), a way of thinking, feeling, communicating and behaving, created by Dan Hughes, that aims to make the child feel safe.
“Roaring, grumping, knots in tummies… Making sense of big feelings can be tricky. Riley the Brave and his safe big critters are here to help! Enjoy 60+ fun activities and trauma-
sensitive strategies to help children understand the brain science behind those big MAD, SAD, and SCARED emotions… and what to do about it!”
It is due to be published on August 8, 2023. As a bonus, you have the opportunity to join Jessica Sinarski for an online Q&A on August 23, 12pm EDT (9am PDT, 5pm BST). Pre-order through any vendor and then fill out the registration form on Jessica’s website.
