BPS Award for Innovation in Practice goes to Wendy Coetzee

4 November 2014

At the Annual Conference of the British Psychological Society Faculty for Children, Young People and their Families in September 2014, Wendy Coetzee was awarded the prize for a new innovation in practice development. Wendy has adapted the DDP informed Nurturing Attachments Group developed by Kim Golding for foster and adoptive parents.

Wendy, a Chartered Principal Clinical Psychologist, has developed a shorter 10 week programme based on these materials for biological families within CAMHS parenting children with attachment difficulties. The group has been very well received and evaluation of it so far has reflected that parents found it to have a positive and beneficial effect on their families’ difficulties.
