DDP and Foundations for Attachment (FFA) research to be presented at the IFSW European Social Work Conference

Louise Faulkner will be presenting research on the Foundations for Attachment (FFA) group-work programme, based on DDP, at the International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW) European Social Work Conference in Prague next week.

Louise Faulkner, DDP Practitioner, DDP PACE trainer and Senior Social Worker, is based in a Therapeutic Team for Looked After and Adopted Children in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland. She will be joined by her co-presenter Amy Stitt, an Associate Psychologist working within the team to help gather and analyse the data.

The session will include research about their implementation of the Foundation for Attachment Therapeutic Parenting Programme, created by Kim Golding CBE. There will also be a workshop for attendees to have the opportunity to experience the DDP principles of PACE through the group process and reflection on this experience.

‘Foundations for Attachment (FFA) Therapeutic Parenting, Group Work Programme, based on the principles of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, DDP’ is on Tuesday May 23, 2023 from 11am to 12:30pm.

The International Federation of Social Workers (IFSW), the global body for the profession, is running their European Conference from 21 to 24 May 2023 in Prague, Czechia. Titled ‘Against all odds’, it aims to explore the impact of global political, war, climate change challenges and how social work is responding to the challenges and advocating for users of social services.
