Part 2: Interventions
Triple Trouble: A Brain Based Model Of Developmental Trauma with Dr. Jon Baylin is a 2-part workshop.
Part 1 is titled “Developmental Trauma – The Problem and Triple Trouble” on March 13 with Part 2, “Interventions”, on November 13. We recommend that you book places for both, however it is not required.
In Part 2, Dr. Baylin will present an integrative model of interventions that target the 3 brain systems highlighted in the Triple Trouble Model. The discussion of interventions will include relational processes, including PACE and other processes included in the DDP model, as well as processes of “neuromodulation” including some newer approaches to medication and newer interventions such as low energy neurofeedback. Dr. Baylin will explain how Neuroscience 2.0 focusing on big brain networks, provides a helpful scientific framework for constructing a more holistic, integrated approach to treating developmental trauma.
Part 2 will include a brief summary of the Triple Trouble Model from Part 1. While it would be preferable to attend Part 1 prior to Part 2, it is not required.
Who can attend?
This workshop is available to anyone who has completed a DDP Level One training.
About Jon Baylin
Jon Baylin is a DDP Practitioner and Clinical Psychologist with 30 years of experience. He is an internationally respected speaker and author. Jon has been collaborating with Daniel Hughes for the last 15 years including co-authoring Brain-based Parenting and The Neurobiology of Attachment-Focused Therapy. Jon has been developing a brain-based model of early life adversity and attachment-focused treatment over the past 25 years. He has been conducting trainings internationally on the theme of Putting the Brain in Therapy for the past 10 years. He is glad to offer workshops for the DDP community in which he will present his latest model.
