Not a formal diagnosis but many child trauma experts agree that children exposed to abuse and/or neglect are at risk in certain domains – attachment, biology, emotional regulation, dissociation, behavioural control, cognition and self concept. It provides a comprehensive lens through which to view the behaviors of children who have experienced intra-familial trauma during their early lives.
