Anne received a B.A. in Musicology with a second major in Child Development from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. She served as a Youth Development Volunteer in the Peace Corps in Ukraine’s Mykolayivska Oblast before attending Washington University’s Brown School of Social Work. Anne focused her graduate studies on clinical social work, specializing in treating trauma in children and youth. She then obtained certifications in a number of models focused on trauma and attachment including DDP, Brainspotting, PCIT, ITCT, NMT, TAC and TF-CBT.

Anne spent the first 12 years of her clinical career working for a nonprofit agency that specialized in working with children and families who experienced a great deal of developmental trauma. Families were often involved in the foster care system or had adopted children out of the foster care system.

Anne is now in private practice and continues to work with families who have experienced trauma and attachment difficulties.
