Julie, a Chartered Consultant Clinical Psychologist, left the NHS in April 2013 after working for 30 years in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). Julie developed and managed LOCATE for 10 years, a joint-funded specialist CAMHS providing assessment, consultative and therapeutic services to children in care and adopted children. Julie now works independently with children and adolescents who are in care or adopted, their families and their networks.
She provides assessment and therapy as well as training, supervision and consultation to local authorities, health services and individuals across the UK.

Julie has been regularly trained and supervised by Dan Hughes since 2001. She is a Trainer, Consultant and Therapist in DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy).

She contributed a chapter on the provision of psychological support services to adoptive families in “Thinking Psychologically about Looked After and adopted children”, Golding, Kim. et al Wiley 2006.
