Biography

Lorren is a registered Clinical Psychologist based in Brisbane Australia. She has completed a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology. She has worked in the area of child protection for over 20 years with children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse and compromised beginnings. This has included supporting families, foster carers, residential care staff, teachers and other professionals to understand and positively support the growth of a secure, trauma informed network around the child. Lorren has worked as a therapist both within a public health setting as well as in private practice for many years, however now just works within her private practice. She specialises in utilising a DDP approach and gently challenging and supporting the formation of stronger attachment relationships for this population. In addition, Lorren maintains a strong interest in adoption and adoptive families, both in a professional sense but also as a mother of three children, the youngest of whom is adopted. This experience has enabled Lorren to understand first hand many of the struggles and difficulties experienced by families and their children as they transition to a new life together. Lorren brings this combined knowledge and experience to her client work.
