Practitioner in DDP
Clinical Psychologist, MPsych (Clin)
Lorren is a registered Clinical Psychologist with a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She has worked in the area of child protection for the past 13 years with children and young people who have experienced trauma, abuse and compromised beginnings. This has included supporting families, foster carers, residential care staff, teachers and other professionals to understand and positively support the growth of a secure, trauma informed network around the child. Lorren works as a therapist both within a health clinic that specialises in providing therapeutic support for children in care, as well as in a part time private capacity. Within both these settings Lorren specialises in utilising a DDP approach and gently challenging and supporting the formation of stronger attachment relationships for this population. In addition, Lorren maintains a strong interest in adoption and adoptive families, both in a professional sense but also as a mother of three children, the youngest of whom is adopted. This experience has enabled Lorren to understand first hand many of the struggles and difficulties experienced by families and their children as they transition to a new life together. Lorren brings this combined knowledge and experience with a desire to support children and families to thrive.
