Rachel is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in the NHS and a Certified Practitioner and Consultant in DDP. Since qualification as a psychologist in 2001 she has specialised in working with Children in Care across Fostering, Residential and Secure settings, as part of multi-disciplinary teams in a multiagency context.

Most recently (May 2024) she has moved to supporting adolescents and their families who are on the ‘edge of care’ or in the process of reunification after care. Her work includes direct work with children and carers, and indirect work as a consultant, supervisor, trainer and author.

Although trained in a number of psychotherapeutic approaches at the core of her clinical approach with children, parents/carers, networks and systems supporting them are the principles of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Practice. She is experienced in working with complex presentations that transverse experiences of developmental trauma, mental health, neurodiversity and risk.

Rachel has a small private practice alongside her NHS and Social Care work.
