Sarah is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist who, over the last 20 years, has specialised in working with children and families affected by trauma. She has managed an Ofsted rated "Outstanding" Adoption Support Agency as well as a post sexual abuse therapy service and has worked closely with the NSPCC, supporting them with the development of therapeutic services for children who have experienced abuse and neglect, as well as facilitating training for frontline practitioners within the charity.

Sarah currently works as an independent psychologist (through Amicus Psychology), providing assessment, consultation, training and therapy, using DDP as a framework to guide her work. The focus upon relationships as a vehicle for change is what drew Sarah to DDP, and she feels privileged to be part of a family's therapeutic journey towards security, resilience and recovery.

She has written a series of interactive children's stories and a Parenting Handbook to help young children and parents connect and explore big feelings and tricky situations together. (www.parentingthroughstories.com or @parenting_through_stories on Instagram). She has also co-developed The Nurture Approach with Bright Horizons to support their Early Years Practitioners.

Sarah lives in Cornwall with her three children and partner and loves being in the sea!
