This Specialist DDP Interest Group is open to Managers and Leaders of Residential Children’s Homes who are aiming to embed DDP and the principles of DDP and PACE into their practice with the children and adults in their homes and organisations.
The group offers a space for members to build connections within the DDP community, to share, reflect on and learn from each other’s experiences and to access and build a support network. Sessions will be led by the shared themes, interests and experiences which arise from working in a residential environment.
Whilst it would be ideal if attendees have completed DDP Level One training and above, the group is also open to those at the start of their DDP journey.
It is organised by Jacob Lee, Registered Manager of a 5 bed Residential Home in Hampshire with New Forest Care. The home supports children struggling with emotional and behavioural difficulties on a short-term basis. The adults in the home are trained in DDP, PACE and attachment theory. New Forest Care is working towards becoming a DDP Certified Organisation.
