DDP Supervision Day, Alison Keith and Anna Binnie-Dawson, Bath, England

This is a supervision day for people who have completed their DDP Level Two. We will have between 6 and 8 slots for people to bring their work, this will need to be negotiated on the day and will also be contingent on what people bring.

There will be an additional 4 slots for people who are not ready to bring their work but would like support in developing their practice through being a part of a shared supervision space. We will have breaks during the day where snacks and lunch will be provided.

Anna Binnie-Dawson
Anna first training was in Occupational Therapy and subsequently she trained as a psychotherapeutic Counsellor.  Her journey into DDP was driven by a curiosity and need to support children and their families who could not engage with child and adolescent services in the traditional way.  She has experienced her own journey through therapy and wanted to understand why, for some children, this just didn’t work.  She is passionate about what this approach can bring to the therapy world.  She has witnessed it reaching the most marginalised groups of children and families, providing a vehicle in which they can belong and feel understood, and providing a way of being that can support so many groups of workers wanting to be a co-regulating presence for these children, young adults and their families.

Alison Keith
Alison’s has a background in residential child care, social work and play therapy. Since meeting Dan Hughes 25 years ago Alison changed the way she worked, shifting from working individually with developmentally traumatised children to paying the most attention to the relationship between the child and their parent and carer. Alison continues to embrace DDP therapy and practice as being the way she works with families, networks and within supervision and training. Alison has known Anna as a friend and colleague for 28 years and she loves the opportunity for them to run training and supervision groups together.
