Introduction to PACE for Professionals

25 March 2021 (10:00 am - 4:30 pm)
United Kingdom

Trainers: Dr Kate Mason and Dr Ann Laight

Dr Ann Laight and Dr Kate Mason are both Clinical Psychologists and DDP PACE Trainers (supported by DDP Connects UK).

This one day training will introduce the attitude of PACE and its use by practitioners in their interventions and supportive relationships.

It is an introduction to the PACE/DDP model, focused on its use by practitioners/professionals who would like to find out more about PACE and how they can bring it into their own organisations.

The training covers relevant theories and models that underpin the PACE approach, through videos and participant exercises you will leave with an experiential understanding of the PACE model. PACE is a way of thinking, feeling, communicating and behaving that aims to make the child feel safe. It is based upon how parents connect with their very young infants.

With PACE, the troubled child can get closer emotionally to those around him and start to trust.
