Online Scotland DDP Interest Group, October 2022

25 October 2022 (2:30 pm - 4:30 pm GMT)
United Kingdom

Run by: Lesley Bell and Claire Slocombe

Join us for the first Scotland DDP Interest Group. This group is for anyone who has an interest in DDP and has completed DDP Level One and above.

We hope to offer a space that will help build connections within the DDP community, bringing together colleagues from a range of backgrounds to share, reflect and further develop their DDP skills.

This first session will be a chance to consider themes and topics for future sessions and develop a working agreement to create a welcoming and supportive space.

Lesley Bell is a Therapeutic Social Worker working with Argyll & Bute Council based in the Care Experienced Young People’s CAMHS Team. Lesley also works independently doing therapeutic work and facilitating Parenting with PACE Training with DDP Connects UK and Scottish Attachment in Action as an Associate.  Lesley has an MA in Psychology, BA in Social Work and MSc in Therapeutic Skills with Children and Young People.

Claire Slocombe is an adoptive mother and Associate Trainer working to improve trauma informed practice within foster and adoptive families and residential care settings. As an Attachment Lead Teacher her work also extends to improving awareness of attachment theory and practice in educational settings. Claire is also a Trainer with the Children’s Hearing Scotland Learning Academy.

Both Lesley and Claire utilise DDP principles in their work and have completed DDP Level One and Two training.
