Online South West DDP Interest Group, Cornwall, May 2021

24 May 2021 (10:00 am - 12:00 pm)
United Kingdom

Run by: Dr Kerry Davison

Kerry is a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director at Psychology Associates. Kerry has been working with families within fostering and adoption using DDP for over 4 years and has now completed her DDP practicum.

Psychology Associates would like to offer this opportunity for all professionals from different backgrounds using principles of DDP (who have completed training at Level One and above) to come together to share their knowledge and experience.

The group offers a space to build professional connections, keep in touch with the wider DDP community and to support each member’s DDP journey.

The content of the morning will focus on diversity, race and White privilege within our practice. In particular, it will involve discussions and reflections on the article “My White silence” by CS and the videos The Part Race and Cultural Differences Play in our Therapeutic Practice part 1 and 2.

Further discussions will take place around the frequency and content for future groups. This may include discussion of interesting conferences, research, books and film clips of DDP related topics. While this is a space to develop our skills and understanding of DDP principles, it is not a clinical supervision group.

This and future events are supported by DDP Connects UK.
