Run by: Jane Hughes
This is a free DDP Interest Group for Devon and the South West area.
This meeting will include a presentation by Cara Redmond on Non Violent Resistance (NVR) and how this relates to DDP.
It is run by Jane Hughes, a Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist who has worked with children and young people for over 30 years. She is currently undertaking the practicum in DDP and works independently with adoptive families within the South West.
Jane would like to offer this opportunity for Practitioners in DDP to come together to share their knowledge and experience of working with DDP principles. The group is for professionals from all backgrounds who have completed DDP Level One training and above.
The group offers a space to build professional connections, keep in touch with the wider DDP world and to support each member’s DDP journey. It is not a clinical supervision group.
The level of DDP training and clinical experience of the group on the day will set the themes and context and may include discussions of relevant books people have enjoyed, recent presentations from conferences and discussions around research.
Above all the group aims to hold true to DDP principles by offering a secure base, supportive connections and learning through our own and our clients’ stories. It is a free event supported by DDP Connects UK.
