Run by: Jacob Lee
The Specialist DDP Interest Group for Residential Settings is organised by Jacob Lee and is currently being run online. Jacob works for New Forest Care and is the Registered Manager of a 5 bed Residential Home in Hampshire. The home supports children struggling with emotional and behavioural difficulties on a short-term basis. The adults in the home are trained in PACE and attachment theory. New Forest Care is working towards becoming a DDP Certified Organisation.
This group is open to professionals from Residential Children’s Homes/Schools who are embedding DDP and the principle of PACE into their practice with their children and adults in their homes and organisations. Whilst it is expected that many of the professionals will have completed their DDP Level One training and above the group is also open to those at the start of their journey.
The group offers a space for members to build connections within the DDP community, to share, reflect on and learn from each other’s experiences and to access support on their DDP journey. Sessions will be led by the participants interests and experiences working in a residential environment.
