Hosted by Georgia Cooper the Yorkshire based SIG has a focus on self care, allowing practitioners a space to reflect whilst gaining connection in a supportive group setting.
The work we do as professionals working with trauma is demanding. PACE is a way of being, offering it to others requires that we are fully available in the moment and invested in the relationships we build. This can be depleting as our greatest resource is our self. The capacity to attune and embody deep communication with clients is key in DDP. This authenticity requires energy and the continued challenge of deepening our self-awareness. Allowing ourselves to recharge, be playful and accepting of ourselves is therefore a regular necessity!
The Yorkshire group is a chance to meet others interested in DDP and to engage in a joint enquiry into how PACE and DDP can support our clients but also how the model can support our own connection with self and others.
