Fresh Start, a residential care provider for children in the Republic of Ireland, are looking for a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with training and/or experience in DDP.
“We are currently recruiting a motivated and dynamic Staff Grade Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our expanding clinical service. We are particularly interested in hearing from those who have training and experience in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy.
You will join a trauma-informed, collaborative, supportive, and forward thinking, multi-disciplinary clinical team (including Psychology, Psychiatry, Behaviour Analysis, Nursing, and Social Care) working with children’s residential and stepdown services.
The post holder will work in tandem with the clinical team, senior operational management, residential centre managers, and residential staff teams to provide high-quality, trauma-informed assessment, formulation, consultation, and intervention. Working with the wider system around a child or young person is a key part of this role and provides significant opportunities to engage in consultation and training of others.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of service development as we work toward embedding trauma-responsive care throughout the organisation. We are keen to hear from candidates who are passionate about service development and innovation in their roles.
You will have regular access to and supervision and support from the Senior Clinical Psychologist in the service, as well as regular contact with the clinical team. There will be an emphasis on continuous professional development though supervision and training. We are happy to hear from newly qualified psychologists and those about to qualify.”
This is a full-time position, based in Co. Carlow, Ireland with opportunities for working from home.
