Adoptionplus near Milton Keynes are looking for an experienced Clinical Psychologist, Therapeutic Social Worker or Therapist with DDP Level Two training or certification in DDP.
This is full-time post with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum (dependant on qualifications and experience) and Dr Ben Gurney-Smith would be the successful applicant’s certifying or supervising DDP Consultant.
“Adoptionplus is a Therapeutic Adoption Agency with a reputation for innovation and effective practice, rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED (2019). Our service provides a range of therapeutic interventions including DDP; Theraplay; Group Programmes and a range of clinical assessments. We are a trial site for the NIHR research on DDP.
The successful candidate will join our DDP-informed team led by Dr Ben Gurney-Smith, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and DDPI Board Member, and will:
- Work therapeutically with families
- Undertake comprehensive assessments as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Work in a team where Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy (PACE) are at the heart of practice
- Be supported in DDP certification and receive both management and clinical supervision
- Have access to the wide range of therapeutic training provided by Adoptionplus”
This is a full-time position, with the possibility of some days working from home due to the current climate, based at the Adoptionplus offices in Moulsoe, near Milton Keynes.
