Dr. Dan Hughes, founder of DDP, will be presenting two new online webinars this November for parents and carers, and professionals.

In association with Family Futures, the webinars will cover how to support and prepare children and families for the festive season, and be run using Zoom.

How to survive the festive season with your adopted or fostered child is on 30 November, 2-4pm.

This webinar is for adoptive parents, foster carers and kinship carers and tickets cost £25.

“For many adoptive parents, foster carers and kinship carers, the festive season can be very stressful. Old patterns of behaviour emerge, stress levels rise, and our ability to cope can really be tested.

Dan will be offering parenting ideas to inspire you and will give examples of how to have a conversation about difficult issues with children using PACE.”

To book your place and find out more information please visit the Family Futures webinar page.

How to support and prepare children and families for the festive season is for any professional working with children including teachers, social workers, psychologists, therapists and psychiatrists.

It will be on 9 December, 2-4pm with tickets costing £35 each.

“[Dan] will be addressing the issues professionals anticipate children will face during the festive season and how best to support a child with these challenges. Dan will answer the questions sent in by professionals and give examples of how to have a conversation about difficult issues with children using PACE.”

For both webinars Dan is accepting questions or topic requests, made through the online booking forms. These will inform the key themes or focus of the webinars and so are a fantastic way to get direct support from Dan Hughes, the founder of DDP.
