4 March 2021
South West DDP Interest Group Devon

Correction: we made a mistake when publishing this post, it should have read Non Violent Resistance. Many apologies and thank you to those who made us aware.

The South West DDP Interest Group based in Devon is meeting online on 12 March, 2021, and will include a presentation on Non Violent Resistance (NVR) and DDP.

As it will be run over Zoom, attendance is open to anyone from the wider DDP community who has completed DDP Level One.

Jane Hughes, Clinical Psychologist and Family Therapist, who runs the group writes:

“We had all hoped back in December that we would be looking at each other across a large table, coffee in hand and real people to hug. But as we all know we are still confined to our computer screens for another few months and once again it will be held via Zoom.

Clinical Psychologist Cara Redmond has offered to present the Non Violent Resistance (NVR) approach to managing challenging behaviour, which sparked a lively discussion in our previous SWIG. We felt as DDP practitioners it would be interesting to compare thoughts and ideas, and whether this fits with our DDP practice.

As this is a Zoom meeting we can accommodate more people and would welcome members from the wider DDP Network.”

The meeting will start at 9:30am and is a free event supported by DDP Connects UK. For more information about the meeting and the DDP Interest Group please visit the event page, and to book your place please get in touch with Jane at janehughes9598@gmail.com.
