Crossreach Childrens Services residential social work staff braved the unpredictability of the Scottish weather during the Level 1 in March. Over the four days we had snow, hail, rain, high winds and sunshine!
Crossreach is on the path to DDP Organisation Certification, and although many staff (care and education) have undertaken Level 1 and Level 2 with Dan Hughes on his visits to Scotland this was the first commissioned Level 1 training. Edwina Grant facilitated the training.
Paul Gilroy, Head of Service, said “We have always recognised the importance of positive relationships between children and adults and have developed a relational-attachment focused model of intervention & support, following the principles of DDP. We are very excited about & look forward to gaining our DDP Organisation Certification. It is heartening to see colleagues, both new to, and experienced, in residential child care, be so enthused and motivated after completing Level 1.”
