Hi, my name is Marie and I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, and Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BSc Hons, Clin.Psy.D., CPsychol., AFBPsS). I have worked with a variety of client groups and service settings over the years 18 years, including NHS, Local Authorities, community, inpatient and forensic services, as well as the independent and charity sectors.
I am passionate about delivering high quality and effective services to give children and young people the best possible chance of healing and recovery from the developmental impact of complex trauma, significant attachment disruption and early adversity.
For the last 13 years, I have specialised in the development and delivery of psychological support services for looked after and adopted children, young people, families and professional networks within Tier 3 CAMHS and Local Authorities (including Residential & Care Leavers Services).
I have a particular interest in adoption support, and am currently the Clinical Psychology Lead for the Adoption Service & Therapeutic & Emotional Support Service (TESS) for Children in Care within Birmingham Children’s Trust.
I recently joined the Board of Directors for DDP Connects UK, and have some limited capacity for independently commissioned work (consultation, teaching/training, clinical supervision, supporting staff teams).
