Trainer: Dan Hughes PhD
Dan’s treatment model, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, is family-based and focused on facilitating the child’s ability to establish a secure attachment with his or her caregivers. Attachment and intersubjectivity theories and research are the central principles used for relationship development and trauma resolution. Dan blends various approaches into his treatment modality. He actively communicates PACE in order to co-regulate the affect associate with past experiences and to co-construct new meanings of these experiences.
Level Two training : Open to clinicians who have attended the Level One training or its equivalent. Everyone is encouraged to present excerpts of a video of their work. There is additional opportunity to explore the impact of one’s own attachment history on the treatment process.
