Event information

Leah CraneFacilitators: Leah Crane, Psy.D & Courtney Rennicke, Ph.D.

Come join our DDP Supervision & Community Group starting monthly on June 28, 2022.

Leah Crane, Psy.D., Director of the Family Collaborative in Darien, Connecticut, and Courtney Rennicke, Ph.D., Director of Rennicke & Associates in New York City will lead 10 2-hour group supervision sessions over the course of 1 year that will provide you with the opportunity to deepen your DDP practice, strengthen your understanding of DDP principles, connect with peers, and feel more resourced in your clinical work.

We are looking forward to hosting a group of 27 practitioners so there are lots of opportunities to learn from others, as well as time to connect in smaller groups to role play, consult and feel seen.

Our 10 2-hour supervisory sessions will be composed of didactic presentations, experiential practice, and the opportunity for members to show video tape (with consent) of their own work and receive direct supervision from Dr. Rennicke and Dr. Crane as well as supportive feedback from group members.

The aims of this group are:

  • To gain a deeper understanding of the theory and practice of the interventions and parenting principles used in this approach.
  • To follow up on any relevant themes that participants would like more teaching on.
  • For each participant to have opportunities to focus on the successes and barriers experienced in applying the model in their practice via supervision or consultation about their work with families or their specific practice.
  • To provide participants with the opportunity to explore (in small groups of 3 people for one hour a day) how their attachment history and experiences may inform and have an impact on their work.

It is open to clinical psychologists, social workers, parent mentors, therapists and other practitioners, who have completed the DDP Level One training. It follows on from the ideas and skills introduced in Level One and is suitable for those who are beginning to use the principles and interventions in their day-to-day work.

Commitment to Racial Equity and Social Justice: Pay what you wish

It is meaningful to Leah and Courtney to support the professional development of therapists of color in DDP that reflect the diverse racial identities of the children and families that we are all honored to know and work with.

For our online community and supervision group, 25% or 7 of the spaces will be reserved for clinicians of color to pay what they wish for the 10 2-hour supervisory sessions. To express your interest in enrolling in one of these places held for therapists of color please contact: to pay what you wish.
