An exciting opportunity has been created with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP) in New Jersey, USA.
They are looking for licenced clinicians to provide in-home therapeutic services, including DDP, for children and families within the DCPP adoption and kinship system.
No prior DDP training experience is required and the successful applicants will be trained in DDP PACE, and go on to complete DDP Level One and Two. They are also welcoming applications from people who have already completed any of these trainings.
The position’s function is described as follows:
“To provide in-home therapeutic services for children and families within the DCPP adoption and kinship system.
Treatment and program emphasis is to strengthen family functioning, stabilize placements, support permanence and minimize disruptions through psychotherapy, parent education, and advocacy for adoptive and relative placements.
Clinicians will be trained in the application of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) both theoretically and clinically to support families to address core adoption/kinship issues and developmental trauma with the goal of establishing permanence and stability.
Clinicians will work with families prior to adoption or kinship finalization, as referred by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) as well as post finalization.”
This is a full-time position, with a flexible schedule, working remotely with families in New Jersey.
