AFCTN plans to provide outreach to families in New York City

The Adoption/Foster Care Therapist Network (AFCTN) is excited to be collaborating this year with 6 M.B.A. students from Wharton Business School.

They’ll be working on a pro-bono consultation project to determine the financial viability and sustainability of a clinic solely dedicated to treating children in foster care, adoptees and their families in New York City.

The Adoption/Foster Care Therapist Network is an organization in New York State dedicated mission is to enhance the training of attachment-focused, adoption and foster care specialized mental health professionals, so that EVERY adoptive, birth, and foster care parent can easily access and receive the services they need for themselves and for their child to support a thriving, nurturing, forever family.

We provide referral resources for clinicians, sponsor attachment-focused family therapy trainings for mental health professionals, promote exposure to this model of treatment in graduate school programs, and online directory of clinicians for families.
