We are thrilled to announce that the first DDP Level One Training was held in St. Louis, Missouri this May in partnership with Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition.
This is the first training to kick off the beginning of a 2-year project spearheaded by Nickie Steinhoff, Director of Training & Community Support at Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition. There will be 7 DDP Trainings (4 Level One, 3 Level Two) taking place between 2018-2020.
“It was a thrill to offer the DDPI Level One training organized by the Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition of St. Louis. The therapists, counselors and para-professionals showed great interest in the DDP and its application to their work. It was delightful to see people discovering the richness in building the parent-child relationship, and it proceeding problem solving.
Participant comments regarding the useful training pieces included videos, role plays, practical examples and demonstration sessions which showed how the affective/reflective dialogue and PACE can be put into practice. This was an energetic, thoughtful and especially playful group. My thanks to Nickie Steinhoff and the primary stakeholders for all of their organizational efforts.”
