Amber Elliott writes: “The Child Psychology Service is expanding! The positions will be working from our office near Rugeley in South Staffordshire.
We are recruiting a Clinical Psychologist (Band 7 to 8a – depending upon qualifications and experience) and another Psychological Therapist (Band 6 to 8a depending upon qualifications and experience). Full and part-time hours would be considered for both posts. We also need an administrator (30 hours a week) to support our clinical activity.
A bit about us:
The Child Psychology Service (TCPS) is a small Social Enterprise that has been built with therapeutic principles guiding its structure from the inside out. We foster an ethos of playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy in all that we do. TCPS has built a strong reputation of effectiveness and compassion as demonstrated by what our clients and commissioners say about us (see our website) and our Outstanding Ofsted status.
This is what we need
Clinical Psychologist/Psychological Therapist
We are seeking to recruit the right people to help us to continue to develop our abilities and capacity to provide effective psychological services of the highest quality. Applicants should have experience and/or qualifications in relevant therapies for looked after and adopted children (e.g. DDP, Theraplay, NVR). We require creative, motivated, collaborative clinicians who will work to support and develop the service.
The Child Psychology Service provides general psychological services to children and their families as well as our specialist services to looked after and adopted children. Applicants would therefore ideally have skills and/or experience in general therapeutic work as well as an interest in working with Looked after and adopted children. Our main priority, however, is finding the find people who fit with our ethos. For the right candidate we will provide the necessary training and development (either general or specialist).
Administrator
Good computing and organisational skills are necessary and crucially we need someone who has a warm, friendly manner to represent the approachability and compassion of the service.
